Biographie GIUSEPPE CACCCAVALE

 

1989 - Moves to Fox-Amphoux, a village of about thirty inhabitants in the south of France.

1990-1992 - Works with autistic children. Reads the poetry of Paul Celan, Osip Mandal’stan, and Marina Cvetaeva. He goes to live in Marseilles.

1993-1995 - For his studies he goes to Ghent. He has a solo show, Una calma utopia, at the Vereninging voor het Museum van Hendendagse Kunst te Gent. His first   graffiti work is completed for a studio presentation together with Antonello Scotti in the M.M.M. Interface space, Marseilles.

1996 - His Raccolta studio beneventano is shown in the Opificio Arte Contemporanea, Benevento, together with Antonello Scotti.

1998 - He creates his first fresco, Ombra fioccosa, in the Atelier d’artistes de la Ville de Marseille.

1999 - His work on the iconography of Panselinos and the Cretan Theophanes leads him to stay on Mont Athos. Chiara Betola suggests showing his work at the Querini Stampalia foundation in Venice. Thierry Ollat curates his La fragile barchetta nel mare aperto del futuro at the Atelier d’artistes de la Ville de Marseille.

1997-2000 - At the Centre International de recherche sur le verre, he elaborates a method for etching plate glass. The first part this work is shown in the Grobet-Labadie museum in Marseilles with the title La scuola delle merlettaie cieche. At the Centro Nazionale per le Arti Contemporanee in Rome he creates the fresco Tavolo da disegno, curated by Paolo Colombo.

2003 - At the castelvecchio museum in Verona he exhibits his sculptural graffiti work Pozzo
